We can, for example, assign zones for which they are responsible to defenders and give them much more detailed instructions. We also have the ability to decide how widely our players will play the ball, as well as to determine different strategies depending on the course of the game.

The game has a complex but intuitive control system, which allows to perform a huge number of games and manoeuvres known from the world's pitches. FIFA 19 has improved control over the reception of the ball and introduced a completely new shooting system – Timed Finishing. It makes it possible to press the shot button twice, and if we do it with the right sensitivity, our hit has a much better chance of landing in the net. EA Sports has also implemented a second marker, which appears when we don't have the ball and indicates which player - apart from the one controlled by us - will be pressing (this solution is deceptively similar to the one used in the Pro Evolution Soccer series). It also makes it easier to mark movement while taking the ball and the behaviour of the camera during free kicks.

FIFA 19 on each of the platforms can be played alone or in the company of other people. We have a career mode (within them we can lead a single player or the whole team), another chapter of the plot "The road to fame" and a wide range of multiplayer games. The FIFA Ultimate Team module, known from previous editions of the series and based on collecting player cards, is also coming back. New are the modes with special rules - so we can for example play a game in which only goals scored with the head or the volley count, or one of the players leaves the field after each goal scored.
